History of Dice - Dice were developed independently by many ancient cultures all over the world and did not simply originate or spread from any one place. Dice have been uncovered in Egyptian Tombs dated 2000 B.C. as well as archaeological excavations dated as old as 6000 B.C. In ancient times the throw of a dice was not just considered to be luck, the outcome was believed to be controlled by the gods and casting dice (lots) was a way of dividing inheritance, choosing rulers and as a method of prediction. Before standard cubical dice became common, ancient peoples would use fruit stones, sets of flat sticks, sea shells, nut shells and pebbles. The Roman goddess, Fortuna, daughter of Zeus (known to gamblers as Lady Luck), was believed to determine the outcome of a throw.

History of I Ching - I ching comes from ancient China and is the oldest of the worlds oracles. It was developed in the twelfth (12)century B.C. by the Duke of Chou, King Wen and his son and added to by Confucius as well as many others over the years. The I Ching was considered sacred. Consulted only by the highest of Rulers and Military officers of the Chinese Empire. Those acknowledged as superior such as eminent scholars, Philosophers and Intellectuals devoted to contemplating the eternal were also allowed. Consultation was never allowed by the common people. I Ching is still one of the most studied and respected oracles today.

History of Runes - Runes are an ancient Alphabet that originated from Nordic people. The Word rune comes from an old root word meaning "hidden" and "mysterious." The associations between the letters of the runic alphabet and pagan magical techniques are so similar that during the conversion of Europe to Christianity, people were condemned to death for simply having runes in their possession. Runes were most commonly used in Iceland, to heal, curse, give victory, calm storms or even make the dead be able to speak again. The original runic alphabet had only sixteen letters; however most present day diviners use the twenty-four letters derived from the Germanic Runic alphabet.
